These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SecureNorth regarding your use of our website and training services. By accessing our website or enrolling in any course, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all terms outlined in this document.
If you do not agree with any provision of these Terms and Conditions, you must immediately cease using our services. Continued use of our website or services after changes to these terms constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
1. Agreement to Terms
By using SecureNorth's services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding contracts. If you are accessing our services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
These Terms and Conditions apply to all users of our website and services, including visitors, course participants, and any other users who access or interact with our platform. Your use of our services is also subject to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, which are incorporated by reference into these terms.
2. User Obligations and Conduct

2.3 Code of Conduct
All users must maintain professional and respectful conduct when interacting with instructors, staff, and other students. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of access to our services without refund.
3. Disclaimers and Warranties
3.1 Educational Services Disclaimer
Our training services are provided for educational purposes only. While we strive to deliver high-quality instruction and current industry knowledge, we make no guarantees about:
- Specific learning outcomes or skill acquisition rates for individual students
- Success in obtaining professional certifications or passing certification exams
- Employment opportunities, salary increases, or career advancement after course completion
- The continued relevance of course content as technology and industry standards evolve
3.2 No Warranties
Our services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
3.3 Third-Party Content
Our services may include references to third-party websites, tools, or resources. We do not endorse or assume responsibility for any third-party content, and your use of such resources is at your own risk. We are not liable for any damages resulting from your use of third-party content.
4. Limitation of Liability
4.1 General Limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by Finnish law, SecureNorth, its directors, officers, employees, affiliates, agents, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
This limitation applies regardless of the theory of liability, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
4.2 Maximum Liability Cap
In no event shall SecureNorth's total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or related to these Terms and Conditions or your use of our services exceed the total amount of fees you have paid to SecureNorth in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. If you have not paid any fees, our total liability shall be limited to €100.
4.3 Jurisdictional Limitations
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such jurisdictions, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law, and the above limitations may not apply to you in their entirety.
5. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SecureNorth, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, suppliers, successors, and assigns from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that arise from or relate to:
- a) Your use or misuse of our services
- b) Your violation of these Terms and Conditions
- c) Your violation of any rights of another person or entity
- d) Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- e) Any content you submit, post, or transmit through our services
This indemnification obligation will survive the termination or expiration of these Terms and Conditions and your use of our services.
6. Privacy and Data Protection
6.1 Data Collection and Use
Your use of our services is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
6.2 User Responsibility

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
7.1 Applicable Law
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Finland, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods shall not apply to these terms.
7.2 Dispute Resolution
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms and Conditions, or the breach, termination, or invalidity thereof, shall be resolved through the following process:
Step 1: Informal Resolution
Before initiating formal proceedings, parties shall attempt to resolve disputes through good faith negotiation. Either party may initiate this process by providing written notice to the other party describing the nature of the dispute.
Step 2: Formal Legal Action
If informal resolution fails within 30 days, either party may submit the dispute to the courts. You agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Helsinki, Finland.
7.3 Class Action Waiver
To the extent permitted by law, you agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration.
8. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
We encourage you to review these Terms and Conditions periodically. If you do not agree to any modifications, you must discontinue use of our services. Material changes that substantially affect your rights will be communicated through email or prominent notice on our website.
9. Severability and Waiver
9.1 Severability
If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be deemed severable from these terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

No waiver of any term or condition of these Terms and Conditions shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of SecureNorth.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to breach of these Terms and Conditions. Upon termination:
- Your right to use our services will immediately cease
- You must cease all use of our materials and intellectual property
- All provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including indemnification, limitation of liability, and dispute resolution provisions
Termination does not relieve you of any obligations incurred prior to termination, and we reserve all rights to pursue legal remedies for any breaches that occurred before termination.
